AerCap has entered into a purchase-leaseback arrangement with American Airlines to finance up to 35 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, including 29 firm deliveries, scheduled to be delivered to American.  Of the 29 firm deliveries, 26 are previously ordered aircraft and three are newly ordered aircraft. GECAS delivered two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased to Pegasus Airlines under a purchase-and-leaseback transaction. The aircraft were delivered to Pegasus in May and June and supplement the four new B737-800 aircraft GECAS purchased and leased back to the airline in April.

The 800th A330 has been delivered on July 13th at a ceremony in Toulouse. The aircraft is an A330-200 Freighter, received by Aircastle Advisor Ltd for operation by HNA Group. This is the third A330-200F for its fleet. To date, over 1,140 A330s have been ordered.

Acting on behalf of ASL Aviation Group, Skyworld Aviation placed an ATR 42-320 on long term lease with CanaryFly Canarias Aeronautica. Serial number 115 (now re-registered as EC-LMX) is a passenger configured aircraft and will service scheduled and charter flights from the Canary Islands into West Africa. Intermountain Healthcare has taken delivery of the first of five GrandNew helicopters. The aircraft is both the first of its kind to be completed in Philadelphia with an EMS configuration and to enter operations with a U.S. customer. Thomas Cook Airlines, based in the U.K., has signed long term lease agreements with Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for six new Airbus A321-200s. These aircraft are from ALC’s order book from Airbus. The A321-200s are equipped with CFM56-B3/3 engines. Two of the aircraft will deliver in 2013, four in spring 2014.

Boeing and ANA completed the 787 service ready operational validation in Japan. As part of the validation, ANA pilots, together with Boeing, flew the Dreamliner on routes from Seattle to Tokyo and Tokyo to four airports across Japan, including Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Okayama and Hiroshima. The Israeli airline Israir has taken delivery of its first ATR 72-500, of a total order of two. The aircraft, equipped with PW 127M engines, is configured to transport 72 passengers. It will be used to enhance the airline’s domestic network, adding to its current fleet of three ATR 42-320 and two Airbus A320 aircraft.
