Air Greenland has acquired 1998 Airbus A330-200, msn 230, which it has had on operating lease since 2002. The acquisition of the aircraft gives the airline the flexibility it needs while assessing future fleet plans. Skytech-AIC assisted the airline in sourcing bank debt to support the acquisition and in structuring the transaction.
Norwegian’s traffic for the month of September 2011 was up by 27 % and capacity was up 20% compared to the same period last year. The load factor increased 3.3 pts to 81%.
Hawaiian Airlines announced its systemwide traffic statistics for the month of September. Traffic for the month increased 19.4% compared to the same month the previous year, while capacity increased 21.6%. The load factor for September was down 1.5 pts to 84.2%
Allegiant Travel Company released preliminary passenger traffic results for September 2011. Traffic decreased 0.8% in September 2011, while capacity decreased 0.2% compared to the same month in 2010. The load factor was down 1.8 pts to 90.1%.
Alaska reported a 10.4% increase in traffic on a 7.2% increase in capacity compared to September 2010. This resulted in a 2.4-point increase in load factor to a September record of 83.9%.
