SAS announced that March 2011 traffic increased by 0.3% and capacity for the month increased 7.6% vs same period 2010. The load factor was down 5.0 pts to 68.1%.

Southwest Airlines released that March 2011 traffic increased 9.8% compared to March 2010. Capacity increased 8.9% and the load factor for the month was 81.6% compared to 81.0% for the same period last year.

AirTran Airways reported that traffic in March 2011 was up 5.5% from the same time in 2010, while capacity grew by 6.8%. The airline’s load factor in March was 82.8%, a 1 percentage point decrease from the same period last year.

Delta Air Lines’ traffic for March 2011 increased 0.5% compared to March 2010 on a 6.2% increase in capacity. Load factor decreased 4.5 points to 79.7%.

American Airlines released that March traffic increased 0.8% versus the same period last year. Capacity increased 2.6% year over year, resulting in a load factor of 80.2% compared to 81.7% in the same period last year.

US Airways Group reports March 2011 traffic results. Mainline traffic for the month increased 3.9% versus March 2010 while capacity was up 3.6%. Mainline passenger load factor was 83.4% up 0.2 points versus March 2010.
