Aeronautical Engineers has been selected by Kahala Aviation of Ireland to provide two firm 737-400SF 11 Pallet Configuration conversions, with options for two additional conversions to be started in May of 2013. The first aircraft, a B737-400, MSN 25052 was built in 1991 and will be converted at one of AEI’s North American Conversion Facilities.
The vertical tail section for the first A380 for Qatar Airways has been painted with the airline’s trademark oryx logo at Airbus facilities in Hamburg. On April 19th, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved the battery system improvements for the 787 Dreamliner, clearing the way for Boeing and its customers to install the approved modifications and consequently lead to a return to service and resumption of new production deliveries.

Copa Airlines and Lufthansa Technik AG have signed a five-year Total Component Maintenance (TCM) contract for the airline’s entire Boeing 737NG fleet, currently consisting of more than 60 Boeing 737-700 and -800 aircraft.
