Delta Air Lines has received preliminary approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin daily nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Bogota, Colombia. The daily frequencies between JFK and Bogota would complement Delta’s existing daily service to Colombia from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Lufthansa is having to cancel flights in the morning of March 5th due to threatened strike action by public service workers at many German airports.
