GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) delivered a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Japanese low-cost airline Solaseed Air to help them with their fleet upgrade. Finnair’s February 2011 traffic rose by nearly 12% as the overall capacity grew by approximately 8% year-on-year. Passenger load factor improved by 2.6 points and was 75.9%.
Hawaiian Airlines’ February consolidated traffic increased 10.3% compared to February 2011, while capacity increased 13.1% year on year. The load factor dropped 2.1 points to 82.9%.
For the month of February 2012, Copa Holdings’ system-wide traffic increased 25.0%, while capacity increased 26.1%. System load factor for February 2012 was 76.1%, a 0.6 point decline when compared to February 2011.
Air France-KLM reported February 2012 traffic increase of 6.2%, while capacity was up by 2.5%, leading to a 2.8 point improvement in load factor to 80.5%.
The SAS Group reported February capacity increase of 4%, while traffic for the month increased 4.5%. The load factor increased 0.3 points to 66.9%.
American Airlines reported a February load factor of 75.8%, an increase of 1.0 point versus the same period last year. Traffic increased 6.0% and capacity increased 4.7% year-over-year.
Delta Air Lines reported a 1.4% increase in traffic in February compared to the same period in 2011. Capacity grew 6.1% year over year and load factor fell year over year to 73.7%.
Frontier’s traffic increased 8% in February 2012, while capacity increased 1%. For the month, Frontier had a load factor of 82% compared to 77% in the same month last year.
Republic Airways released that February traffic increased 8% over the same month last year, on an increase in capacity of 5%. Consolidated load factor was 74% in February of 2012, versus 72% in the same month last year.
