In January 2012, IAG Group traffic rose by 1.1% versus January 2011 while capacity was down 1.5%. The load factor for January 2012 was up 2.0 points to 75.7%.

Air France KLM reported that January passenger activity remained on a positive trend with traffic up 3.7% and a 0.6% rise in capacity. The load factor for the month of January was up 2.5 points to 81.6%. Passenger numbers stood at 5.75 million, up 5.3%.

Southwest Airlines reported January 2012 combined traffic results for Southwest Airlines and AirTran. Combined traffic decreased 2.7%, while capacity decreased 0.7% compared to January 2011. The load factor for January 2012 was 74.3%, compared to the combined load factor of 75.8% in January 2011.

Hawaiian Airlines announced its systemwide traffic statistics for the month of January, with traffic increase of 12.9% compared to January 2011 and 11.4% increase in capacity. The load factor for the month was up 1.0 point to 83.4%.

American Eagle reported a January traffic increase of 10.3% year-over-year as capacity increased 5.6%. January load factor was 67.2%, an increase of 2.8 points compared to the same period last year.

American Airlines reported a January load factor of 78.5%, an increase of 2.7 points versus the same period last year. Traffic increased 1.4%, while capacity was lower by 2.1% year-over-year.

Delta Air Lines reported that January 2012 consolidated traffic increased 14.5% compared to the prior year period, while the company’s capacity declined 4.3 points. System load factor increased 2.3 points to 77.5%.

WestJet reported January 2012 traffic results with a load factor of 79.9%, while traffic increased 11.5% year over year, and capacity grew 8.6% over the same period.

Porter Airlines had a record January load factor of 55.7%, 4 points higher than the previous year. January results show that capacity increased 31% compared to January 2011 while traffic increased 41%.

US Airways Group released that mainline traffic for the month of January 2012 was up 3.8% versus January 2011, while mainline capacity was up 3.1%. Mainline load factor was a record 78.8% for the month of January, up 0.5 points versus January 2011.
