Ryanair’s October traffic grows 4%

American Airlines reported an October load factor of 83.2%, which compares to 83.6% in the same period last year. American’s capacity and traffic were 0.7% and 1.1% lower year-over-year, respectively.
Delta Air Lines’ system load factor for October was 82.8%, 0.6 points lower than the prior year on a 3.1% decrease in capacity. System traffic decreased 3.8% percent year over year.
Alaska reported a 6.0% increase in traffic on a 5.1% increase in capacity compared to October 2010. This resulted in a 0.8-point increase in load factor to an October record 82.6%. Horizon reported a 16.3% decline in traffic on a 19.5% decline in capacity compared to October 2010. This resulted in a 2.9-point increase in
US Airways Group’s mainline traffic for the month was down 1.5% versus October 2010, while mainline capacity was down 1.7% versus October 2010. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 83.7% for the month of October, up 0.1 points versus October 2010.
Porter Airlines reported October load factor at 67.7%, 11.4 points higher than the previous year. Traffic for the month increased 44% while capacity increased 19.9%.
SAS Group’s traffic increased by 5.4% during September and capacity increased 5% compared to the same period in 2010. The passenger load factor increased by 0.3 pts in September to 74.6%.
In September 2011 IAG Group traffic rose by 4.3% versus September 2010, while capacity was up 4.2%. The load factor for the month was up 0.1 pt to 82.8%.
Finnair traffic rose by approximately 12% as the overall capacity grew by 14.7% compared with September 2010. Finnair’s load factor for the month was down 1.9 pts to 73.1%.
Ryanair released that traffic in September 2011 grew 6% compared to the same month in 2010 and the load factor was down 1 pt to 85%.
