WestJet reports load factor of 83.3% for August

Alaska Air reported August operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Aaska reported a 7.6% increase in traffic on a 5.4% increase in capacity compared to August 2010. In July 2011, Finnair traffic rose by 14.6% as the overall capacity grew 14.7% compared with July 2010. The load factor for July was 82.1%, the same as in July 2010.
Ryanair released that traffic in July 2011 grew by 6% compared to the same period in 2010 and that the load factor was up 1.0 pt to 89.0%.
Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2011. The Company reported a 2% decrease in traffic from the same month last year, while capacity stayed unchanged. Consolidated load factor was 85% versus 86% in July 2010.
Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for July 2011. System traffic in July 2011 was flat compared to July 2010 on a 1.0% increase in capacity. System load factor of 87.6% was 0.7 points lower than the prior year.

Porter Airlines reported July load factor of 66.8%, 4.8 points better than the previous year. Capacity was up 16.9% and traffic increased 26.1% compared to July 2010.
US Airways Group reported July 2011 traffic results. Mainline traffic for the month was up 5.1% versus July 2010, while capacity up 2.0% versus July 2010. Mainline passenger load factor was an all-time record 88.3% up 2.6 points versus July 2010.
