SAS has released that traffic in August increased 2.3% and capacity was up 6.4%, compared to the same period in 2016. The load factor decreased by 3.2 points versus last year to 78%.
Icelandair has reported that traffic in August increasing by 4% year over year, while capacity increased by 3% compared to August 2016. The load factor was 72.3% up by 2.4 points compared to the previous year.
Norwegian has carried almost 3.3 million passengers in August 2017, an increase of 14% compared to the same month the previous year. Total traffic increased by 26% in August, driven by a 24% capacity growth. The load factor increased by 1.4 points to 91.1%.
In August, Finnair’s overall capacity increased by 11% year‐on‐year, and traffic grew by 14.7%. The number of passengers carried during the month was 1.08 million, corresponding to an increase of 10.1% year-on-year. The passenger load factor increased by 2.7 points to 85.8%.
Ryanair has reported that traffic in August 2017 grew 10% compared to August 2016 and the load factor rose 1.0 point to 97% compared to the previous year.
International Airlines Group traffic in August increased by 1.2% versus August 2016, while Group capacity rose by 0.4% compared to the previous year. Group load factor for August was up 0.6 points to 86.5%.
In July, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings have transported 2,746,456 passengers, an increase of 5.2% compared to July 2016. Capacity increased 7.0%, while passenger traffic increased 8.2%. The load factor for the month was 86.1%, an increase of 100 bps compared to the same period of 2016.
Austrian Airlines has transported close to 1.4 million passengers in July 2017, corresponding to a rise of 14.8% compared to July 2016. Traffic increased by 9.5%, while capacity was up 9.8%. Passenger load factor was 85.3% in July 2017, a slight decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the prior-year.
SAS released that scheduled traffic for the month of July increased 6.7% while capacity was up 8.8% compared to the same period in 2016. The load factor decreased by 1.7 points versus last year to 86.5%.
Hawaiian Airlines has announced its system-wide traffic statistics for the month of July. Traffic for the month increased 1.9% while capacity improved 0.5% compared to June 2016. The load factor for July up 1.1 points to 87.3% compared to the previous year.
