International Airlines Group traffic in April increased by 10.0% versus April 2016 and Group capacity rose by 4.0% compared to the previous year. Group load factor improved 4.5 points to 83.1% compared to April 2016.
Ryanair released April 2017 traffic statistics with a 14% increase in traffic as compared to April 2016. The load factor for April rose 3.0 points, to 96%.
LATAM Airlines Group and its subsidiaries reported its preliminary monthly traffic statistics for March 2017. System passenger traffic in March increased by 2.1% while capacity increased by 1.2% compared to March 2016. As a result, the Company’s load factor for the month increased 0.7 points to 82.9%.
In March 2017, Frankfurt Airport served some 4.9 million passengers, up 1.8% year-on-year. Thus, the previous March record achieved in 2016 was exceeded by around 85,000 passengers. Southwest Airlines reported that traffic in March 2017 increase 3.9%, while capacity increased 4.5% compared with March 2016. The March 2017 load factor was 84.1%, compared with 84.6% in March 2016.
SAS reported traffic increase of 9.7% in March 2017 while capacity (ASK) increased 12.2%. The load factor was affected by the timing of the Easter holiday and decreased by 1.6 points versus last year to 69.8%.
Ryanair reported that March traffic increases 10% compared to March 2016 and the load factor was unchanged at 94%.
