UAL’s February 2017 consolidated traffic decreased 0.8% and consolidated capacity decreased 0.4% versus February 2016. UAL’s February 2017 consolidated load factor decreased 0.3 points to 76.7% compared to February 2016.
International Airlines Group traffic in February increased by 2.% versus February 2016 and Group capacity rose by 2.2%. Group load factor for February was up 0.6 points to 78%.
Finnair reported that traffic in February 2017 grew by 2.5% as the passenger load factor increased by 3.8 points to 82.9%. Finnair’s overall capacity decreased by 2.2% year‐on‐year.
Norwegian has carried close to 2.1 million passengers in February, an increase of 12% compared to the same month last year. Total traffic increased by 24%, while capacity increased by 22%. The load factor was 86.3%, up 0.7 points compared to February 2016.
Ryanair released that February 2017 traffic grew 10% to 8.2m customers, compaired to the same period in 2016. The load factor for February rose 2% points to 95%.
Delta reported system February 2017 traffic declined 1.7% compared to the same period in 2016, while capacity was down 3.4%. System load factor for the month was up 1.4 points to 81.1% compared to February 2016.
Some 4.2 million passengers used Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in January 2017, resulting in an increase of about 75,000 passengers (up 1.8%) and a new January monthly record at FRA. Thus, this continues the passenger growth trend set during the last two months of 2016. FRA’s cargo volume rose briskly by 5.6% to 168,556 metric tons.
Alaska Air Group reported January operational results. On a combined basis, Alaska Air Group reported a 6.9% increase in traffic on a 7.6% increase in capacity compared to January 2016. Load factor decreased 0.5 points to 78.1%. These statistics include flights operated by Alaska, Virgin America, Horizon, and those under third-party capacity purchase agreements.
Hawaiian Airlines reported that traffic in January 2017 increased 9.5% and capacity increased 5.8% compared to the previous year. The load factor for January was up 2.8 points to 83.9%.
Southwest Airlines’ traffic for January 2017 increased 4.6%, while capacity for January was up 6.2%, compared to January 2016. The load factor was 76.3% compared with 77.5% in January 2016.
