SAS increased its scheduled capacity in November by 10.4% and the traffic grew 17.3% when compared to the same period in 2015. The overall load factor was 73.7%, the highest November load factor recorded for SAS. The improvement was driven by positive development on SAS’s intercontinental routes and international routes within Europe.
Southwest Airlines reported an increase in traffic for November 2016 of 7.2% compared to November 2015. Capacity for the month increased 4.9% in November 2016, compared with November 2015. The load factor was a record for the month of November at 85.1%, compared with 83.3% in November 2015.
Delta Air Lines (DAL) reported financial and operating performance for November 2016. Total traffic was up 0.3% compared to the previous year, while capacity was down 0.7%. Consolidated load factor for the month was up 0.9 points to 85%.
Alaska Air Group reported November operational results on a consolidated basis, for its mainline operations operated by subsidiary Alaska Airlines and for its regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air Industries and third-party regional carriers, SkyWest Airlines and PenAir (Regional). WestJet aounced October 2016 traffic results with a load factor of 79.7% an increase of 2.6 points year over year. Traffic increased 18.7% year over year, and capacity grew 14.8% over the same period.
UAL’s October 2016 consolidated traffic increased 0.6% and consolidated capacity increased 1.8% versus October 2015. UAL’s October 2016 consolidated load factor decreased 1.0 point to 82.4% compared to October 2015.
Norwegian reported total traffic growth increased by 24%, while the capacity growth increased by 23% compared to the same period in 2015. The load factor for the month of October was up by 0.6 points to 88.4% compared to the previous year.
In October, Finnair’s overall capacity grew by 3.9% and traffic grew by 2.1% year‐on‐year. The passenger load factor declined by 1.4 points to 79.9% compared to the same period in 2015.
