International Airlines Group (IAG) traffic in June increased by 6.7% versus June 2014, while Group capacity rose by 5.4% compared to the same period in 2014. Group load factor improved 1.0 point to 83.7% year over year. Norwegian reported that June traffic increased by 11%, while capacity increased by 4% compared to June 2014. The
United’s June 2015 consolidated traffic increased 1.3% and consolidated capacity increased 2.25% versus June 2014. UAL’s June 2015 consolidated load factor decreased 0.8 points to 86.3% compared to June 2014.
Southwest Airlines reported June 2015 traffic increase of 6.9% compared to June 2014, while capacity increased 6.7%. The June 2015 load factor was a record for the month of June at 86.2% compared with 86.1% in June 2014.
WestJet announced June 2015 traffic results with a load factor of 76.9%, a decrease of 0.5 points year over year. Revenue traffic increased 7.0% year over year and capacity was 7.6% higher than the previous year.
For the month of June, Air Canada reported a system-wide capacity increase of 10.5% and a system load factor of 85.4%, versus 85.7% in June 2014. On this additional capacity, system wide traffic for June increased 10.1% compared to the same period in 2014.
SAS reported that total traffic for June 2015 decreased by 5.2%, while capacity was reduced by 2.2% compared to the same period in 2014. The total load factor decreased by 2.6 points to 81.6%.
In June, Finnair’s overall capacity decreased by 0.1% and traffic increased by 1.5% year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor was 84.7%, up 1.3 points compared to June 2014.
Delta reported June traffic increase of 3.2% while capacity was up 2.6% compared to the previous year. The load factor for June was up 0.6 points to 88.1% compared to June 2014.
Alaska reported a 6.9% increase in traffic on a 7.4% increase in capacity compared to June 2014. This resulted in a 0.4 point decrease in load factor to 87.0%. Horizon reported a 6.7% increase in June traffic on a 5.5% increase in capacity compared to June 2014. This resulted in a 0.9 point increase in
In May, Norwegian reported total passenger traffic increased by 19% and the total capacity increased by 8% compared to the same period in 2014. The load factor was high, 84.9% up 7.9 points compared to the previous year.
