Delta Air Lines reported that total traffic increased 5.1% compared to March February 2014, while total capacity increased 6.3% compared to the previous year. Total load factor for the month was 80.3%, down 0.9 points compared to March 2014.
WestJet reported February 2015 traffic results with a load factor of 84.3%. Traffic increased 3.3% year over year, and capacity grew 3.7% over the same period.
UAL’s January 2015 consolidated traffic increased 1.1% and consolidated capacity increased 1.4% versus January 2014. UAL’s January 2015 consolidated load factor decreased 0.2 points compared to January 2014 to 80.7%.
Southwest Airlines reported that traffic in January 2015 increased 8.6% from January 2014, while capacity increased 10.2% from the January 2014 level. The January 2015 load factor was 75.1% compared with 76.3% in January 2014.
American Airlines Group’s total traffic for the month was down 2.8% versus January 2014. Total capacity was down 0.2% versus January 2014. Total passenger load factor was 78.2% for the month of January, down 2.1 points versus January 2014.
In January, Finnair’s overall capacity grew by 2.6% and traffic grew by 1.2% year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor was 76.5%, down 1.1 point compared to the previous year.
Norwegian reported that January total passenger traffic increased by 21% and the total capacity increased by 13% compared to the January 2014. The load factor was 80% in January, up 5.2 points.
IAG traffic in January increased by 5.5% versus the same month in 2014, while Group capacity rose by 5.7% year over year. The load factor for the month of January was 77.0%, down 0.1 point compared to the previous year.
For the month of January, Air Canada reported a record system load factor of 80.1%, versus 80% in January 2014, on a system-wide capacity increase of 8.3%. On this additional capacity, system wide traffic for January increased 8.4%.
Alaska reported a 7.9% increase in traffic on a 10.9% increase in capacity compared to January 2014. Load factor decreased 2.3 points to 81.0% year over year.
