UAL’s consolidated traffic in November 2012 decreased 2.3% and consolidated capacity decreased 2.6% versus November 2011. UAL’s consolidated load factor in November 2012 increased 0.3 points to 81.2% compared to November 2011.
AMR Corporation reported November 2012 consolidated revenue and traffic results for its principal subsidiary, American Airlines and its wholly owned subsidiary, AMR Eagle Holding Corporation. Consolidated capacity and traffic were 1.9% and 0.7% higher year-over-year respectively, resulting in a consolidated load factor of 80.7%, a decrease of 1.0 points versus the same period last year.
SAS Group’s traffic increased by 6.3% in November 2012, with capacity up 6.5% compared to the previous year. The SAS Group’s load factor decreased slightly by 0.1 point to 68.6%.
For the month of November 2012, Copa Holdings’ system-wide passenger traffic increased 26.5% year over year, while capacity increased 23.4%. As a result, system load factor for November 2012 was 76.7%, a 1.9 point increase when compared to November 2011.
In November Finnair traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres rose by 10.5% as the overall capacity grew 3.6% year‐on‐year. Passenger load factor improved by 4.5% points year‐on‐year and was 73.0%.
Ryanair released that November traffic increased 5% compared to the same period in 2011, while the load factor was the same as the previous year, 80%.
For the month of November, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 78.1%, versus 75.9% in November 2011, an increase of 2.2 points. System traffic increased 4.6% on a system-wide capacity increase of 1.7%. Air Canada reports traffic results on a system-wide basis, including regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity.
Frontier’s load factor for November 2011 was flat at 88%. Traffic decreased 9%, on a 9% decrease in capacity compared to the same month in 2011.
Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for November 2012. Traffic for the month of November was essentially the same as November of last year, on a 1% decrease in capacity. Consolidated load factor was 82% versus 81% in the same month last year.
Alaska reported a 9.4% increase in traffic on a 9.4% increase in capacity compared with November 2011. This resulted in a flat year-over-year load factor of 86.4%. Horizon reported an 8.1% increase in traffic on a 7.9% increase in capacity compared with November 2011. This resulted in a 0.5-point increase in load factor to 79.8%.
