Volga-Dnepr Group signs MOU for additional GEnx-powered Boeing 747-8 aircraft

The Volga-Dnepr Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 20 additional GEnx-2B powered Boeing 747-8 Freighters. This order brings Volga-Dnepr’s total GEnx-2B-powered Boeing 747-8 Freighter fleet to 26 aircraft. The additional engine order is valued at more than US$1.8bn list price.

Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 Engines worth US$500m to power Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines has decided to take Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines and long-term TotalCare support worth US$500m to power six Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The decision marks a significant vote of confidence in the Trent 1000, Ethiopian having previously selected engines from another provider to power 13 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
