GE has awarded Tianjin Airlines its TRUEngine designation for 107 CF34-10E engines powering its fleet of 50 EMBRAER 190s. FLY Leasing, a global lessor of modern commercial jet aircraft, has purchased a brand new Boeing B737-800 aircraft. The aircraft is on a long-term lease to a leading Asian airline. The purchase was financed with FLY’s unrestricted cash and its acquisition facility.

GE Capital Aviation Services Limited delivered a new leased Boeing 777-36NER aircraft to Kenya Airways. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing. The new aircraft becomes the largest in Kenya’s fleet with a seating capacity of 400 and is part of the airline’s fleet expansion plans.

Korean Air and Boeing have finalized an order for five 747-8 Intercontinentals and six 777-300ER (Extended Range) jetliners that was announced as a commitment during the Paris Air Show in June. Boeing and EL AL Israel Airlines have finalized an order for two additional Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) airplanes. The order comes just two weeks after the Israeli flag-carrier took delivery of its first 737-900ER. This order brings the total number of 737-900ERs ordered by EL AL to eight.

GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS) delivered a new Airbus A320 to Spring Airlines to expand the Chinese low-cost carrier’s fleet. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Airbus. Spring Airlines operates a fleet of more than 30 aircraft to destinations in China, Japan, Macau and Thailand.

BOC Aviation has delivered the last of the eight 777-300ERs ordered from Boeing for long-term lease to Thai Airways (THAI). The aircraft, powered by GE90 engines, delivered over the period to October 2013. The lease transaction, announced in November 2010, marked the first time BOC Aviation had worked with the Thai national carrier.
