India’s largest airline, IndiGo has taken delivery of its first A320 aircraft equipped with Sharklet fuel saving wing tip devices, becoming the first Indian carrier to do so. Sharklets are newly designed wing-tip devices that improve the aircraft’s aerodynamics and significantly cut the airline’s fuel burn and emissions by four per cent on longer sectors.

Corendon Airlines (Turkey) and ALC signed a 5 year lease agreement for one Boeing 737-800 (MSN 32920) aircraft, delivering in February 2013. Corendon Airlines is a regional carrier operating 30 routes out of Antalya Airport, Turkey. Corendon has experienced significant annual passenger growth since the airline’s inception in 2005.

MNG Technic & Russian carrier Oren Air signed Base Maintenance Services Agreement for four Boeing 737-800 aircrafts. C-Checks will be carried out at MNG Technic’s facilities in Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Turkey.

Myanma Airways, the flag carrier of Myanmar, inaugurated into service, from Yangon to Mandalay, the first of two Embraer E190s leased from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). These are the first E190s to join the Myanma Airways fleet and will help with the airline’s fleet modernization and expansion.

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) released that ATRAN Cargo Airlines has taken delivery of its second AEI B737-400SF 11 Pallet Configuration Passenger to Freighter Conversion. The aircraft, a high gross weight B737-400 (MSN 28758) was built in 1997 and underwent passenger to freighter modification at AEI’s Authorized Conversion Center, Flightstar Aircraft Services, Inc. which is located
