Hawaiian Airlines signes a Memorandum of Understanding with airframe manufacturer Airbus to acquire 16 new A321neo aircraft between 2017 and 2020, with rights to purchase an additional nine aircraft. The long-range, single-aisle aircraft will complement Hawaiian’s existing fleet of wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft used for long-haul flying between Hawai’i and the U.S. West Coast.

BOC Aviation has signed agreements for the lease of four new A320-200 aircraft to Vueling Airlines. All aircraft will be equipped with IAE V2522-A5 SelectOne engines and are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of this year.

Bombardier Aerospace has received orders for a total of six Learjet 75 business jets from an undisclosed customer. The transaction is valued at approximately $81m based on the 2012 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) and Boeing announced an order for 60 737 MAX airplanes. ACG’s order, consisting of 50 737 MAX 8s and 10 737 MAX 9s, was finalized in December 2012. The 737 MAX has now accumulated more than 1,000 orders to date.
