Indian company Aviotech, a corporate and defense aerospace specialist, is to become launch customer for JSC’s (Sukhoi Civil Aircraft) business version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The relevant letter of intent for 10 SBJs in VIP configuration and 10 options was signed at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2011. The companies plan to start negotiations on the technical layout of the aircraft to be delivered in the nearest future.

Boeing and Nigeria’s Arik Air announced a deal for two 747-8 Intercontinental airplanes. The order is valued at $635 million at list prices and was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing’s website. The order was announced during a signing ceremony at the Corporate Council for Africa’s 8th Biennial U.S.-Africa Business Summit in Washington, D.C.
