Cebu Pacific of the Philippines has placed a firm order with Airbus for seven more A320 aircraft. The latest contract increases the carrier’s A320 Family order backlog to 22 aircraft, scheduled for delivery between the last quarter of 2010 and 2014. International Lease Finance Corporation announced the lease placement of one (1) used Airbus A320-200 aircraft to NOUVELAIR. NOUVELAIR, based in Monastir, Tunisia, leased one used Airbus A320-200 aircraft from ILFC. The aircraft delivered in 2010.

French private airline Aigle Azur has received its first directly purchased brand new Airbus A319 at a delivery ceremony in Hamburg yesterday. This new aircraft will join Aigle Azur’s fleet of ten A320 Family aircraft, comprising three A319s, three A320s and four A321s. The new A319 will be powered by CFM56 engines from CFM International.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft showcase its Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner in Nassau and Freeport, Bahamas. The aircraft, which was manufactured in Toronto, Ontario and configured with 76 seats, will be flown on demonstration tours for representatives of the government of the Bahamas, Bahamasair, the media and other stakeholders.
