JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines has received the 33rd A320 by Airbus.The aircraft was purchased under a financial lease contract signed in December 2008 between Aeroflot JSC and Airbus Corporation. Yemenia, the official carrier of the state of Yemen, based in Sanaa, has signed a firm contract to buy 10 A320 Family aircraft from Airbus. The agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Dubai air show.

Embraer and Gulf Air signed a preliminary agreement during the Bahrain International Airshow, by which two EMBRAER 170 jets would be operated by the airline through an operating lease. Both EMBRAER 170 jets would be scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2010.

BAE Systems announced that it has secured an agreement from Condor Flugdienst GmbH of Germany to provide exclusive remarketing services for the sale and leaseback of its fleet of 13 Boeing 757-300 airliners. All the aircraft will remain in operation with Condor, which has mandated BAE Systems specifically to remarket the fleet to financial institutions

Baltia Air Lines has signed an engine lease agreement with Logistic Air. Baltia’s executive vice president Mr. Russell Thal stated, “The power-by-the-hour engine lease agreement is the most economical way for a start-up carrier to operate its aircraft and reduces its expenditures and risks. The agreement with Logistic Air includes support.”

Emirates Airline and Airbus celebrated the hand-over of the 6,000th aircraft in the airframe manufacturer’s 40 year history. The aircraft an A380, was handed over to Emirates Airline in a ceremony in Hamburg. The aircraft is Emirates’ eighth A380.
