Ethiopian Airlines has selected the General Electric GEnx engines to power its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft due to enter service with the Airline from 2008. The order is for 20 engines to power the 10 aircraft and 3 spare engines.

GOL will equip its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Blended Winglets. GOL and Aviation Boeing Partners signed a contract in November for the delivery of 60 Blended Winglet Systems.

World Air Holdings, Inc., parent company of World Airways and North American Airlines, has signed a letter of intent to lease an additional Boeing 767-300ER passenger aircraft for delivery to North American in December 2006. AirAsia has initiated a total fleet renewal with the delivery of the first of sixty A320s. The A320s will over time completely replace the Boeing 737-300 fleet currently operated by the AirAsia Group (comprising AirAsia in Malaysia, Thai AirAsia in Thailand and AWAIR in Indonesia). PIA will lease one new Boeing 777-240ER aircraft from ILFC. The aircraft will be powered by GE90-94B engines and is scheduled to deliver in January 2007. The lease term is for ten years.

EL AL has agreed to lease one used Boeing 737-8Q8 aircraft from ILFC. The aircraft, MSN 30639 is powered by CFM56-7B26 engines and is scheduled to deliver in February 2006. The lease term is for 5 years.

AIR MACAU leased one used Airbus A300-600R Freighter aircraft from ILFC. The aircraft, MSN 743, is powered by PW4158 engines and will deliver in May 2006. The lease term is for ten years.

Vietnam Airlines took delivery of the national carrier’s 10th 777-200ER. Vietnam Airlines’ newest 777 is the sixth that the airline has leased through International Lease Finance Corp. In addition, Vietnam Airlines also owns four 777-200ERs.
