Ryanair reported that June traffic grew 19% compared to the same period in 2007, while the load factor was reported at 84%, compared to 85% in June 2007.

SAS Group’s traffic increased by 3.5% during June and seat capacity was up by 5.9% vs 2007. SAS Group carried 4.0 million passengers in June, up 0.3% vs 2007. Total load factor was down by 1.8 pts to 74.7%.

US Airways Group reported June traffic results. Mainline traffic for the month was down 0.5% from June 2007, capacity was up 0.4% versus June 2007 and the load factor for the month of June was 85.0%, down 0.8 points versus June 2007.

For the month of June, system traffic on a consolidated basis for Air Canada and Jazz rose 1.9% on a capacity increase of 2.7% system wide. This resulted in a load factor of 82.2% versus 82.8% in June 2007.

ALASKA AIRLINES Alaska’s June traffic decreased 2.0 percent to 1.688 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from 1.723 billion flown a year earlier. Jazz Air has implemented a number of cost-saving initiatives and is taking additional measures to combat rising fuel costs. Air Canada, Jazz’s primary customer, announced on June 17, 2008, that it would reduce network domestic and transborder capacity by 2% and 13% respectively with the implementation of the fourth quarter 2008 and first quarter 2009

Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for June 2008. International traffic remained strong in June, increasing 13.9 percent year over year on a 14.1 percent increase in capacity. AirTran Airways reported record traffic for the month of June 2008.
