Copa Holdings, S.A. and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for February 2008: traffic increases 15% in February 2008, while capacity incrased 12.2% compared to the same month in 2007. The load factor was up 1.9 pts to 78.1%.

For February, traffic grew by 28.2% based on a 14.0% increase in capacity. The company’s load factor for the month was 78.1%. The airline enplaned more than 1.8 million passengers for the month, a 21.9% increase from February 2007.

In February 2008, passenger capacity was 4.4% above February 2007. Traffic, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres, rose by 5.3%. This resulted in a passenger load factor increase of 0.6 points versus last year, to 68.4%.

American Airlines reported a February load factor of 76.9% — an improvement of 0.3 points compared to the same period last year. Traffic increased 2.5% year over year as capacity increased 2.0%.

American Eagle reported a February load factor of 69.0%, down 0.4 points compared to the same period last year. Traffic decreased 2.4% year over year as capacity decreased 1.9%. American Eagle boarded 1.5 million passengers in February.

Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for February 2008. Traffic increased 39.7% over the same month last year, while capacity increased 37.9%. Load factor was 70.0% versus 69.1% in February 2007.

GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A. released preliminary passenger statistics for the month of February 2008. Consolidated passenger traffic for February 2008 increased 35.6% and capacity increased 64.2% year-over-year. Consolidated load factor for the month was down 12.6 pts from 72.3% in 2007.

Allegiant released that system traffic increased 44.1% compared to February 2007 while capacity increased 36.9%. System load factor was mesured at 83.9%, up 4.2 pts compared to February 2007.

Ryanair released that February traffic increased 20% compared to the same period in 2007 and that the load factor was down 2 pts from 77% in February 2007.

Delta Air Lines reported system load factor for February of 74.9%, up 0.8 pts from February 2007, system traffic in February 2008 increased 6.7% over February 2007 with a capacity increase of 5.6%.
