Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for December 2007. System traffic for December 2007 increased 3.0 % from December 2006 on a capacity increase of 3.1% Delta’s system load factor was 77.7% in December 2007, flat from the same period last year.

Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for December 2007. The company reported that traffic increased 32.1% over the same month last year, while cpacity increased 32.9%. The load factor was 69.3% versus 69.7% in December 2006.

In December 2007, passenger capacity, was 2.0% above December 2006, traffic rose 1.0% and the load factor was down 0.7 points versus last year, to 73.5%.

Ryanair released that traffic increased 18% in December 2007 compared to the same period last year and that the load factor for the month decreased 2 points to 79%.

US Airways Group reported December traffic results for 2007. Traffic for the month was down 4.5% from December 2006. Capacity was down 4.4% from December 2006 and the load factor for the month of December was 75.3%, down 0.2 points versus December 2006.

Southwest Airlines reported that traffic increased 4% in December 2007, compared to December 2006, capacity increased 5.2% from the December 2006 level and the load factor for the month was 68.2%, compared to 68.9% for the same period last year.

Wizz Airannounced that it had carried 1,889,608 passengers in 2005. It represents a growth rate of 233% over 2004 when the airline had 567,885 passengers.

Continental Airlines reported a December consolidated (mainline plus regional) load factor of 77.7 percent, 1.2 points above last year’s December consolidated load factor. The carrier reported a mainline load factor of 78.0 percent, 0.7 points above the December 2004 mainline load factor, and a domestic mainline load factor of 79.7 percent, 2.6 points above December

Southwest Airlines begins its Denver service with 13 daily nonstop flights to Chicago Midway, Las Vegas , and Phoenix. Beginning March 4, 2006, Southwest Airlines will offer new nonstop service between Denver and Baltimore/Washington and new nonstop service between Denver and Salt Lake City.
