Gary R. Scott, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, will be retiring on October 1, 2011. Guy C. Hachey, President and Chief Operating Officer, Bombardier Aerospace, will lead the Commercial Aircraft business unit until a replacement is named.

Mr. Joachim Hunold’s offer to step down as the company’s CEO as per 1 September 2011 was accepted by the Board of Directors of Air Berlin PLC. Mr. Hartmut Mehdorn, who has been a member of the Board of Air Berlin PLC since 1 July 2009, will assume the position as CEO for an interim period.

Werner Aero Services reported the appointment of Julie Goodridge as Senior Vice President of Sales. Goodridge has held the leadership roles of Center Director with FlightSafety International, Regional Director of Sales for CAE and was previously the Alumni Director for Embry-Riddle.  In her new position with Werner, she will oversee the company’s global sales and marketing.

Following a number of recent senior appointments, the International Bureau of Aviation (IBA) welcomed Kane Ray to their growing consultancy team and appraisal personnel. Kane joined IBA earlier this month, as an Aviation Analyst. Kane’s primary focus will be to support IBA’s busy Consultancy and Appraisal division with aircraft engine valuations and related research.

Sean O’Connor has been appointed General Manager for SR Technics America. He assumed his new position on August 1, 2011. As General Manager, Sean will be responsible for driving the expansion of SR Technics’ business in the Americas.

Comlux Aviation Services, based in Indianapolis, announced the promotion of Stephen Law to Maintenance Supervisor. Stephen Law has over 23 years of aviation sales experience and held prior positions of A&P Mechanic for AMR Combs, Project Supervisor for Bombardier Aerospace and Maintenance Supervisor for Indianapolis Jet Center.
