The Board of Directors of SAS AB has decided that STS will remain a subsidiary of the SAS Group. The decision was taken during the February 5 board meeting.
The decision of the Board was taken after several months of work in a project group, consisting of members from STS as well as the unions. In December 2007, the project group presented a unanimous proposal regarding the future of STS in the SAS Group. The decision of the Board of Directors was in accordance with the proposal.
The heavy maintenance of Boeing 737 Classic will be conducted outside Scandinavia in the future. Today the check is conducted at the STS base at Gardermoen, Oslo, Norway
