IAI sign exclusive three year contract for JT9D engine upgrades

Israel Aerospace Industries has signed an exclusive three-year agreement for Pratt & Whitney JT9D new high pressure compressor (HPC) blades to be offered at the company’s engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facilities. The full sets of new HPC blades are common to all Pratt & Whitney JT9D models, which are currently in service with more than 60 operators around the world. The contract is valued at more than $4 million for the initial purchase.
