World Airways adds Boeing 747-400 Freighter to certificate

World Airways has added the first Boeing 747-400 freighter to its certificate following completion of induction requirements and approval by the Federal Aviation Administration. The aircraft has a range of 4,600 miles and a payload capacity of 250,000 pounds, which makes it ideal for long-range inter-continental service around the globe. Conversion to cargo configuration was completed in March 2008.
