Singapore Airlines took delivery of its fifth A380 at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse, France. With the addition of this fifth A380 into its fleet, Singapore Airlines will upgrade more of its B747-400 flights to A380 operations on the Singapore-London route.
A few hours before the delivery of the new A380, Singapore Airlines took delivery of its 18th Boeing 777-300ER aircraft at the Boeing Delivery Centre, at Everett, Washington. This marks the first occasion where Singapore Airlines has received an aircraft from each manufacturer on the same day.
