IAE International Aero Engines announced that the latest production standard of the V2500, SelectOne has been certified on the Airbus A320 by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The new engine upgrade, which delivers an additional one per cent fuel burn benefit, achieved EASA CS-25 certification on schedule, following FAR33 engine level certification in December 2007. The first V2500 SelectOne powered aircraft is due to be delivered to launch customer, IndiGo, later this year.
