LAN CARGO will launch service between Miami and Guatemala City, Guatemala, and San Jose, Costa Rica in September of this year. This new operation will rely on a modern fleet of Boeing 767-300F aircraft which will be joined by new Boeing 777F aircraft during the first quarter of 2009.
The cargo market between the U.S. and Central America currently transports approximately 180,000 tons annually including both imports and exports.
