Hamilton Sundstrand has signed a long-term agreement with Tiger Airways to install its APS 3200 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) on Tiger’s new fleet of up to 60 Airbus A320 aircraft. Tiger Airways currently operates a fleet of 12 APS 3200-equipped A320s from its Singapore and Melbourne bases.
The APS 3200 APU has accumulated more than 15 million hours and 17 million cycles since entering service on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft. Hamilton Sundstrand has delivered more than 1,500 APS 3200 APUs to more than 70 airlines for their fleets of Airbus A320 aircraft.
The APS 3200 APU is designed and produced at the Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems facility in San Diego.
