A year ago, GE Aviation established the Business Jet Operations Center at its headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. The center provides rapid and single-contact support to operators of business jets powered by thousands of GE’s CF34, CF700, and CJ610 engines, as well as CFM International’s CFM56 engines.
This past summer, GE Aviation acquired certain assets of Walter Engines in the Czech Republic, established GE Aviation Czech as a new division to produce Walter Aircraft Engines, and announced a future Walter turboprop derivative, the M601H-80, for utility, agriculture and retrofit aircraft.
GE is creating a better support network for Walter M601 turboprop operators, which will also be supported through the Business Jet Operations Center, an around-the-clock operation with product support technicians available to ensure a rapid response to such needs as parts availability, trouble-shooting, and field issues.
