UAL Corporation reports third quarter loss

UAL Corporation reported a third quarter net loss of $779 million or $252 million, if non-cash, net mark- to-market losses on fuel hedge contracts and certain accounting charges are excluded, despite an increase of $946 million in consolidated fuel expense.
