Alaska Air Group reports third quarter results

Alaska Air Group reported a net loss of $86.5 million for the third quarter of 2008, compared to net income of $81.8 million in 2007. Excluding special items, the company reported a third quarter net profit of $39.9 million, or $1.10 per diluted share, compared to $78.8 million, or $1.93 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2007.
