Skyways Aviation has arranged the sale of one Fokker 50 from Crescent Air Cargo of India to Largus Aviation of Sweden. Serial number 20103 was delivered on 27th October 2008 and is now registered as SE-LJV (previously VT-CAA). The aircraft will enter into service with Swedish cargo operator Amapola in 2009. Although the aircraft is already cargo converted it will undergo further modification to include vertical cargo nets at Aircraft Conversions in the U.S. prior to entering into service.
Skyways Aviation has also arranged the lease of a further three Fokker 50s on behalf of Amapola. Two aircraft will be transferred from Skyways of Sweden, one of the largest Fokker 50 operators. The third aircraft (serial number 20259), previously operated by Air Central of Japan, was purchased from Nordic Aviation Capital of Denmark. All three aircraft will undergo vertical net cargo conversion in 2009 ready for operation by Amapola on Swedish post contracts.
