Cascade Aerospace has delivered the first Q400-PF Package Freighter to launch customer, Nord-Flyg of Eskilstuna, Sweden. This latest Cascade conversion converts a passenger-carrying Bombardier Q400 aircraft into a bulk-loaded cargo hauler, and the prototype was completed at Cascade’s headquarters in Abbotsford, B.C. Canada. A second aircraft for Nord-Flyg is expected to be converted in the Spring of 2009.
The Q400-PF is certified by Transport Canada under a Supplemental Type Certificate, and FAA (US) and EASA (European) certification are expected to follow.
