WestJet announces fourth quarter and year-end results

WestJet announced fourth quarter and year-end financial results for 2008. The airline reported fourth quarter net earnings of $40.8 million and full-year net earnings of $178.1 million. WestJet reported a fourth quarter earnings before tax (EBT) margin of 9.5%. For the full-year 2008, the airline had an EBT margin of 10.0% and an operating margin of 11.5%.
