Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Aerospace Component Services (ACS) in Wichita Falls, Texas, will invest about $1 million US in state-of-the-art equipment that will position the facility for growth. The capital investment includes a $450,000 contribution from the City of Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls facility provides complete restoration of super-alloy components as well as section replacements and protective coating applications for a wide range of gas turbine components. P&WC ACS will use the investment to acquire an advanced water jet stripping machine that will significantly increase its ability to clean gas turbine components, including PW100 engine combustion liners used on regional aircraft, prior to repair.
