MTU and General Electric jointly develop innovative repair processes

MTU has teamed up with GE Aviation, an operating unit of General Electric (GE), to develop new repairs for GE engine components. The two companies have concluded a Component Repair Development Agreement to form the basis of their cooperation. The transatlantic cooperation is not restricted to specific GE engine types, nor to specific GE engine assemblies. The agreement is for a term of ten years. It also provides that the new repair procedures jointly developed will be approved as OEM repairs and marketed by GE.
