Alaska Air Group reported December operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Alaska reported an increase in load factor to 83.6% in December 2009, compared to 80.7% in December 2008, on a 5.0% increase in capacity compared to the prior-year period. Traffic increased 8.7% compared to December 2008.
Horizon reported an increase in load factor to 75.9% in December 2009, compared to 72.8% in December 2008. Horizon reported that traffic increased 15.1% and capacity increased 10.5% compared to the same period in 2008.
