ExpressJet reports first quarter loss of $16.1 million

ExpressJet Airlines reported a first quarter loss of $16.1 million. Excluding special items, ExpressJet’s loss totaled $12.7 million or $0.73 per share. ExpressJet generated $189.3 million in revenues during the three months ended March 31, 2010 versus $169.7 million for the three months ended March 31, 2009. Revenue earned during the first quarter 2010 in Corporate Aviation (charter) totaled $15.5 million. Aviation services revenue grew slightly in the first quarter 2010 to $8.7 million.

ExpressJet ended the first quarter 2010 with $106.3 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments.
