Aer Lingus announces the appointment of Trevor Jensen as Chief Operating Officer. Mr Jensen will join Aer Lingus on 1 June 2010. Most recently, Mr Jensen served as Programme Director for the Flight Safety Foundation and his career has covered the aviation, transportation, logistics and natural resources sectors. His early career was with Qantas, where he spent over 25 years, training first as a pilot and reaching the position of General Manager of Operations in 1996. In addition he has held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Air New Zealand / Ansett and Jetstar and Head of Airline Operations at Qantas.

Australian sustainable aviation fuel industry receives massive boost with major investment
The Australian sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry has received a massive boost with a major joint investment. A Queensland biofuel refinery being jointly developed by Jet Zero Australia and LanzaJet is to receive investment from Qantas Group, Airbus, and the Queensland Government. The refinery is looking to produce SAF from agricultural by-products, including sugar cane.
