UK company Aviation Capital Solutions has acquired five BAe 146-300 regional jetliners from BAE Systems for use in the European air charter market and Africa with existing clients. The aircraft ( msn E3129, E3149, E3158, E3162 and E3165) are due for delivery through to June and initially will be based in Europe on ACMI contracts (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) to cater for last minute aircraft capacity requests from charter companies and also scheduled airlines.
Maintenance for the aircraft and engines will be carried out by a related company, Avman Engineering, at Manston Airport in Kent which is offering fixed price engine support. Avman is a European Aviation Safety Agency-approved maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation with BAe 146 and Avro RJ line and base maintenance approvals and a Honeywell ALF 502/LF507 engine shop.
