Lufthansa is introducing a new route between Munich and Baghdad on 30 September 2010, as planned. From that date, the Iraqi capital will be served four times weekly with a Boeing 737 that is currently operated on behalf of Lufthansa by the Swiss aviation specialist PrivatAir.
Earlier this year, Lufthansa resumed flights to Iraq after a 20-year interval. Since 25 April, it has been serving the city of Erbil in Northern Iraq four times a week from Frankfurt.
