JetBlue Airways was officially welcomed as a new member into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on June 8th. Joining IATA requires successfully passing the IATA Operational Safety Audit, which JetBlue completed in April 2010. Membership will expand JetBlue’s global industry voice and expand partnership opportunities with other world-class airlines, proving that the value-based carrier meets the highest industry benchmarks. The airline recently signed an interline agreement with South African Airlines, which joins airlines that have interline partnerships with JetBlue such as Lufthansa, American Airlines, Cape Air and Aer Lingus.
