Vietnam Airlines has selected a full suite of Rockwell Collins avionics, including its MultiScan Threat Detection System and Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR) Global Landing System, for 36 new Airbus 321-200 aircraft. Deliveries will begin in 2011 and continue through 2014. The agreement was recently celebrated in a signing ceremony between the two companies in Hanoi and represents the latest in a series of Rockwell Collins wins in Asia. It marks the thirteenth avionics and/or cabin systems selection in 2010 preceded by one Philippines- and eight China-based airlines.
